5 Day Silent Mindfulness Meditation Retreat

This retreat meets the annual 5-day retreat that is required within IMI standards. It also meets the prerequisite for joining Teacher Trainings.

Amir Imani
With over 20 years of meditation experience, Amir received training and supervision from Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli at the University of Massachusetts Mindfulness Center in 2005. He is a senior meditation teacher with extensive experience in participating and leading retreats.

Retreat Location: Seshane Ä°stanbul
40-person capacity trainings with or without accommodation are hosted in a cozy village with easy transportation, in Istanbul, in ten acres of open and closed areas in the company of birds, trees, flowers, sun, soil, in short, the four elements, with our architecture where nature and comfort are intertwined.
Requirements to Participate

Participation in an 8 week course in a mindfulness based program is preferred but not required
Regular practice in a mindfulness meditation or other contemplative traditions that includes silent sitting meditation which may include silent, sitting meditation experience using a meditation app or other forms of instruction and practicing regularly (three times per week) for a minimum of one year

Willingness to follow the retreat structure (e.g., putting aside work, cutting off contact with the outside world, putting away the phone, following the retreat program, community rules, and maintaining silence)

Participants with diagnosed conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, psychosis or anxiety disorders are expected to discuss their specific situation with the organizers.

Participants with physical limitations should consult with the retreat leader and the suitability of the venue should be reviewed
